U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Whistleblower Program

U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Whistleblower Program

Paul Creech has represented SEC whistleblowers and protected, navigated and counseled them through the process and into their reward.

What is the reward for the SEC Whistleblower Program

The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act allows a whistleblower to receive rewards for reporting financial fraud and violations of the law and SEC regulations. The reward is calculated as a percentage of the SEC receives as part of an enforcement action. The SEC rewards successful whistleblowers with between 10-30% of the money recovered through the whistleblower’s report.SEC

Whistleblower Identify is Anonymous

SEC whistleblower reports are filed in secret to allow the SEC to conduct an investigation based on the whistleblower’s information. The SEC closely guards the identity of the whistleblower. With the help of an attorney, the whistleblowers identity can remain anonymous from the SEC while allowing the whistleblower to recover their full reward.

FCPA Whistleblowers

Common SEC whistleblower cases involve violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act whereby a company makes unlawful payments to foreign government officials or their families to advance the company’s business. Other common SEC violations include financial fraud, market manipulation or “pump and dump” schemes, fraudulent offerings, and the withholding of material information from the market.
